Surprised by this:
If he runs against Hillary, it will make 1984 look like a squeaker.
Bolton would be a foolish choice and would never get past the primary.
in my opinion, a libertarian leaning republican wins the overall election. I, an independent, can overlook my disagreement with the social issues if one is truly small government. Cutting military spending shows me this unlike most other conservatives.
John Bolton, no. Michael Bolton, yes.
The problem is getting a libertarian leaning Republican through the primaries without them having to say too many crazy things to get the nomination.
Yep, the primaries is the toughest part for a libertarian. I think Paul would win the overall but don't know if he can win the primary.
As long as it isn't Roose Bolton.
Bolton has my vote today.
I'm not certain that he could win the overall (likely would depend on the opponent), but he would have a much better chance than someone who was identified as a social conservative or neocon (think Santorum and Bolton, respectively).
I don't really want Hillary in 2016, and I suspect a Republican will win unless the economy makes an incredible upswing. We do tend to go back and forth between D and R.
But I think Hillary would beat Bolton easily. Most people do not share his idea that everyone's our enemy, we need to bomb ....
Why not just nominate Yosemite Sam?
How did your Romney landslide pick pan out?
The NRA could get on board with that.
Taking it to the streets...
Can I start work on the guest list for whatever social event VP Frey wants to hold first?
I would probably vote for any of the major players in GoT at this point, maybe even Tywin. Just not Littlefinger. Littlefinger is already President.
Then why have they been crushed repeatedly in the primaries for decades now?
