Thing of it is, you know there had to be some Nole fans there, so it found fertile ground.

Reminiscent of Spurrier's comment when the Auburn library burned down.

You know the best part of that joke is that it can't be told in the opposite direction. You know, with us having significantly higher academic standards. Aw, that's sad.

Been around the Tebows a (very) little bit. Tim seems to have gotten his sweet personality from his mother. The intensity, though not completely absent in mom, came mostly from his father. The Rev. is a man on a mission - pretty intense fellow from what I can tell. Love the story in the OP.

That is good natured. No one should be remotely offended by such things. There are far better things in this world to be offfended about than comments such as these. If these comments rile you up you need to calm down. Of course, I am sure Mr. Tebow has some great memories of Tim's college career. It is always fun to look back at the good old days. I do it too now and then. I guess he misses the days when Tim was actually wanted by a team. Yes, I can give as good as I take.

Also kind of strikes me funny when nollies take shots at Timmy and the NFL. This from a fanbase whos best QB took all his professional "snaps" for the Knicks and Spurs.

    Neither was his.

Mr. Tebow didn't exactly stay up all night to come up with his "zinger" and Spurrier needs some new material too. It's okay. Spurrier doesn't get paid to be funny, fair enough, but some coaches really are funny (Bowden, Holtz) and others are just yawn inducing cliche machines like Belichek.

Spurrier hasn't really said anything creative since the press conference before the 97 52-20 Sugar Bowl, not a good memory for me, when he said he was more of a new testament guy so he believed in an eye for an eye meaning he felt like if FSU could hit his QB late then UF ought to be able to do the same. He was really peeved at the time but that remains one of the best, if not the best, pre game press conferences in CFB history.

Now you just sound dumb. The man says something creative every other week. You just haven't been paying attention.

Oh, he's been paying attention.....he just can't be objective because of his hatred for Spurrier.

Nolies cant pay attention to the SEC coaches. Too busy getting ready for Wake, Duke, Carolina, GT, Maryland, UVA, every week.

    That can be very distracting.

At least they don't have to Fear the Turtle anymore... that used to keep them up at night. ;)
