Good read. I'd love something out of the box like that.

Nice find. Don't think he'd ever get the complete control he'd ask for as OC... under any HC.

    From the story:

"You always try to stay two steps ahead of the defense and keep changing, because if you've got a top offense in the country or your conference, everybody's just going to watch your tape all winter and try to stop you," Stitt said. "You've got to come out with something completely new. We're changing all the time so people can't zero in on what we're doing"

Wow - a coach that evolves as the competition evolves. What a novel approach!

I would love to see this guy. This would be the year to do it too. Give him free reign of the offense and let's sink or swim. I bet games would be a hell of a lot more fun to watch.

I would welcome KB as well. Hell, I don't care who we bring in as long as I don't have to watch any more of that garbage we called an offense these last few seasons. We need someone to implement a system that actually caters to the type of athletes that are readily available in our state. Those athletes that consistently give Florida an edge over most of the rest of the nation's recruiting areas. If our offensive philosophy were a business model, I'd imagine it being a surf shop in Kansas.

LOL. Maybe you're right. Hey, its' existence doesn't deem it a good idea. Our offense existed, I think.

Why would we want to go that route? ... Because Oregon's "Chip Kelly like" offense has had so much success vs. Stanford and SEC competition?????

Interesting read, thanks for posting. Only problem with someone like that is - does he have any sort of relationship with Muschamp? I know everyone says to hire the best possible candidate, and I agree to an extent. Even in normal 50 hour per week jobs that I've had - the ones where I got along with my colleagues were the ones that I liked the most, and was most productive.

These guys basically spend their entire lives with each other. Muschamp wants to make sure he can work well with him, and that the rest of the staff can as well. It will be tough to take a chance on someone completely new to him. At a minimum you figure he will want great recommendations from other coach(es) that he knows really well.

If the reports that Pease and Davis weren't on the same page are true, that was a huge part of the problem. Not sure if it was "reported" before but I had heard that pretty much everyone didn't get along well with Charlie Weis.

Wouldn't this be similar to the way Chad Morris ascended to Clemson?
