With my optimistic scenario, that is what I would have picked as well. usually I laugh at Bleacher Report, but this writer seems to have done his homework (how refreshing!), and I agree, right down to the scores.

I do think Bama will beat us by more than 3, however. But if we go 10-2, this guy will look like a genius.

The writer is definitely taking into account the changes that have occurred whereas some predictions are based solely on last year's debacle.

That, and those who assign far too much credit based upon who the head coach is...

A 10-2 season is very plausible. When I read this article I realized that I had forgotten how close some of our games really were considering we were banged up most of the year. I guess a 4-8 season will do that to ya lol

It's more than a little optimistic. I don't see us at 10-1 heading into the FSU game.

Well yeah I mean we could very easily lose to USCe, UGA, and LSU and be heading into the F$U game 7-4 getting ready for a 7-5 year, but what's the fun in that prediction? :)

Well, IMO, you are more than a little pessimistic. I agree with the assessment by BR. UF was better than its record last year, both UM and Vandy were doubled up in almost every stat but turnovers/not producing in the red zone lead to those losses. UGA won by 3, USCe won by 5 at home. Even with the injuries it took bad play and worse luck to get to 4-8. UF was preseason #10 last year because they were a team with good returning talent. Every fan and talking head out there agreed that UF had a slim margin for errors to succeed. What happened, the worst bout of injuries any Gator fan has ever seen. UF should bounce right back up to a top 10 team which means 9-3 or 10-2.

This team is better than the 11-2 team we had two years ago I mean much much much better. And a lot of the teams we play are not as good as they were two years ago

We shall see. I think we will be much improved, but even under the best of circumstances it's rare to make it through an SEC schedule with only 1 loss. I think we lose to Bama and we drop at least two during the rest of our SEC schedule.

I think it's a pretty good prediction at this point. I'm not sure the defense holds as well against SC and MO as predicted though. Thompson has played in Gainesville and SC's offense has been around the block. I think that will be more of a high scoring game.

Maybe, but I can see us at a strong 9 - 2 going into Tally, and possibly winning there with a good defensive showing.

Even though GC Magazine said fsu will be "vastly more talented than UF" this year though.:D I almost bought that magazine until I saw that laughable comment.

If..we stay healthy, if... the young guys continues to improve, if... the wide receivers finally start making plays, if... Muschamp lets Roper run the damn offense, if we finally get a kicking game and make a forty yard field goal. Lot of ifs my friends. But I see it as possible.

I dont get why everyone automatically pencils in FSU as a loss. I'm not convinced they're that much better than us. I'm glad though cause we tend to beat them when we aren't suppose to :)

History hasn't been kind to Spurrier's offense against Florida. Thompson hasn't performed well against a top defense - yet. He may do so this year.
