I don't have a "source" to report but heard from someone pretty well connected that literally the entire coaching staff, the UAA support staff and all the players didn't like Charlie Weis. No one was sorry to see him leave.

Maybe he was handcuffed and an ass because of that? His persona prior to UF seemed like he is pretty much an ass. I never understood the hire to begin with - other than he was really experienced and could act effectively as a head coach of the offense.

There's an awful lot of speculation that WM is handcuffing his OC. I'm not sure I believe it. Our offense has sucked and ultimately it's his responsibility. I just don't know of if he's telling the guys to just ground and pound. Either way if our offense continues to suck and we are losing - good bet there's a new head coach in a year or 2.

the coaches did not like Weis because he sat his fat ass on the cooler during practices and the other coaches were not able to get a drinks.

Weis left for no other reason than he was offered the head coaching job at Kansas. Hello!

Let's see: Stay at UF, make $800K, not be in charge (not the head coach).

    OR

Go to Kansas. Be the HEAD COACH. Make $2 million (a $1.2 Million raise).

Anyone who votes "stay at UF" in this scenerio is pretty much a bonafide moron.
