Gator football starts tomorrow (as if it ever starts or stops).

So, NBN-ers. Which one do you prefer?

I have never done a poll before. I hope I did this correctly.

Basketball by far. But me and Bullis might be the only ones in that group.

This may be a bit cliche... But for me If a Gator is playing it. I am a fan. Whatever sport. Even if I don't know anything about it. :D

I even have friends from other schools that make fun because they say I celebrate things that are too irrelevant.

So in this poll I voted for the kids option. :p

I'm a bigger fan of football, though I enjoy watching basketball more.

    Strange, I know.

Huge fan of both college football and college basketball. Don't like either game at the professional level, however. This may sound un-American and vaguely communist, but I don't even watch the Super Bowl.
But back to the original question...I enjoy college basketball more than football, but I put much more emphasis on any single football game than any single basketball game, and I'm much more distraught over a football loss.

For me, it is probably basketball first usually. Now that the UAA is trying to ruin UF football it is certainly basketball first.

Football is still first, but the basketball team has definitely been more fun to watch the last few years.

Football when I was younger, but definitely basketball today. It's just a better, more beautiful sport.

Gotham, you have a Teddy Roosevelt quote about college sports injuries in your sig. I believe that TR threatened to ban college football altogether, due to the frightful injuries. The sport was forced to fix itself with better equipment.

I was always a bigger fan of football, maybe because I played it and sucked at BB. But, I admire Billy so much that he turned me into a big BB fan. Football has also lost some attraction.

    I like both equally.

But, winning our first basketball title was the greatest thrill I've ever had as a Gator fan. As thrilling as it was, I wasn't that surprised when we won our first football title. I always thought we'd win a football title someday. But, I never dreamed we'd win a basketball title. Then, we won titles back-to-back! Amazing!

For me hoops is the better game. I have been a hoops season ticket holder since Dwayne S was a freshman and went to most home hoops games for a few years before that because it was always easy to buy a prime seat at face for any game except UK.

As for football I have never been to a UF football game even though I was good friends with Dwayne Dixon when he was coaching here. He played on my Intramural hoops team when he was coaching here. Good guy and I miss him.
