Like a fool I DVR'd the 1984 UF/UM game in Tampa last night.
You talk about Deja voo all over again.
Bell to Neal with under a minute to go and then to give up 2 td's was to much to relive.
How do you give up 2 td's in 40 seconds is BEYOND believe.

Who was the QB who came in for Bell and gave the game away?
I remember Bell had already taken his pads off and had to come back in the game.

We actually lost the game in Miami...but the Choke felt like one.

Choke is the toughest for me...
I followed it up by attending the 5th quarter in the French Quarter.

We basically lost to FSU twice that year

We made up for it in 97
    Winning the NC in Jan
And in Nov in the Swamp
Both games fsu was #1 in the nation....Costing them one NC and the chance for another.(if they would have beat us in the Swamp they would have played for the NC)

Indeed. That was what made the 1996 MNC so memorable. To beatcrush your bitter rival by 32 points for all the marbles in front of a national audience.

It has been sixteen years since that great game, and it will be 50 more before the Nolies will ever get over that humiliation.

    Priceless...

I guess if we could've run the clock with the ground game in either....then we'd have won those games

why can't we come out like SOS in first half, then switch to WM grind in 2nd half. All while playing top 5 defense?

The only good thing to come out of that game was fsu's long home "Winning" streak was snaped. Miami had a long home winning streak that started in 1985 after a Gator loss.

2003 pissed me off more. Every time they showed that dumbfounded look on Zook's face as Miami kept eating into our lead, I just wanted to slap him and tell him to get it together. I have never been so infuriated by a Florida coach's ineptitude. Zook was the king of choking away leads.

2003 game getting ready to come on ........I will watch the 1st half and not the 2nd half.
Is it fair to blame SOS a little bit for this lost.....It was him that let BB go to ANY school right away?Me thinks they don't win without BB that night...Didn't Winn have a long run?
