With losses by Ku and Ou to bad teams many now finally agreeing most overrated conf. There is.

This is consequential to us as If we finish strong we should be seeded higher than the Oklahomas of the world. They'll lose 2-3 more games and cannot win ( lost 6 in a row) on road.

All I ask for is 3 more wins in the regular season....

Winning the SEC tourney would be great but that is wishfull thinking.

I am not worrying about our need for quality wins anymore. If the Big 12 tanks it may affect our seeding but not our getting in. And in the end it is all about playing well during the tourney and seeding (other than the first game or two) is irrelevant.

Why is that wishful thinking? If this team is playing Well (and it always plays either Very, Very Well, or Very, Very Poorly), then no team is likely to beat it 50% of the time, and with now 4 Bigs playing and perhaps 5 by the tournament (if Egbunu can play), then the biggest weakness (C/PF), will not longer be true.

The Key is maintaining that Defensive Toughness which offensive efficacy builds from.

True. Just hoping the Texas Techs and KU teams get seeded like they should.

Conference is really down. Would love to see overrated Tech team in our bracket.

Couldn't upsets indicate conference depth? I don't get the point or purpose of this, other than the fact that a few posters disagreed with you previously. Big 12 is still #1 in conference rpi.
And again, I don't see an argument for Texas Tech being overrated. They are 21-4/9-3.
    rpi #11
    bpi #9
    Sagarin #10
    Kenpom #8

Seth Davis still pegging Kansas for a #1 seed is a joke

I'll agree the Big 12 isn't that great, as evidenced by UK winning at WVU, Vandy beating TCU, etc. This is not a vintage KU team either, yet they will probably still win the conference. OU has the most dynamic player in the country, but is barely above average. Still, it is in the SEC's best interest for the Big12 to maintain a strong profile. Not only this year, but moving forward (assuming the SEC/Big12 challenge continues).

Oklahoma could lose every game the rest of the reason and they'd still be ranked. Somehow they're #16 overall as of now according to the committee.

    It's a complete joke.

That's exactly what I'm talking about as far as wishful thinking.. but admittedly I'm hopeful as well.

Holy cow....you still feel this is a great conference this year??? Besides the top 2 teams talk to me about the rest of the conference. Oklahoma is not overrated??

    Didn't the SEC handle them?

Yes, in a better conference Tech would be a #22-25. Love to see them as a number three in our bracket.

Some on this very thread feel this is a great conference and you are validating my thoughts as Oklahoma is the most overrated team in the entire country. The conference itself has two good teams. If Oklahoma and tech played in our conference or the ACC you could add two if not three more losses to both of their resumes.

How about people on our own board continuing to talk of the conference as being very good to great. Metrics aside this conference is not in the top two or three in the country this year maybe number four.

It is shocking that people cannot see what most of us see especially when the conference power in Kansas gets beat by the worst team in the conference in Baylor.

I don't think you read a single thing I wrote. Your inferences have nothing to do with my suggestions.
