Nice article. Here's hoping Mr. Foley's instinct is spot on. "In all kinds of weather..."

"Good for Foley for going all Tammy Wynette and standing by his man. Seemingly, everybody in the world believes Muschamp should be fired -- except Foley, who remains supremely confident Muschamp is the man to lead the Gators into the future despite enduring UF's first losing season in 34 years."

Foley's way or the highway is for the birds. It's a failed human endeavor to go it alone without listening to others, and even more foolish to ignore time tested pearls of wisdom:

    Proverbs 1:5
A wise man will hear and increase learning, And a man of understanding will attain wise counsel

    Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.

    Proverbs 12:15
The way of a fool is right in his own eyes, But he who heeds counsel is wise.

    Proverbs 15:22
Without counsel, plans go awry, But in the multitude of counselors they are established.

I wish, Muschamp and the Gator faithful, all the luck in the world. Same with Foley. I just think it is going to take a miracle for things to be righted. And it will cost a LOT of money to take a shot.

Mr.Foley is not only betting on Muschamp he is betting on his own job, IMHO.

I believe the primary reason Foley is staying with Muschamp is he doesn't want to admit that he screwed up a second time . Muschamp is Ron Zook v.2. How many more times do we have to watch a coach with no head coaching experience run this program in the ground?

I too believe that Muschamp should have next year to prove himself. I actually think we will be very good provided we get a new OC.

At the very least, if our team stinks next year, we won't have any second thoughts about firing Muschamp.

If this doesn't work out, which I believe it will not, Foley has to go.

Keepking Muschamp is definitly not the "easy" decision for Foley. It would certainly be easier to fire him, but I sure don't understand the loyalty to a Georgia Bulldog. We should never hire a Bulldog ever again for ANY position at UF!!!

Except that Zook didn't run it into the ground. TIA.

Sorry folks, but Bianchi is one of the last great local sportswriters.

He pushes the envelope from time to time and occasionally jumps the shark.

But he is very entertaining and usually well sourced.

I call BS to everybody in the world except Foley thinks Muschamp should be fired, I do see after finding the article that you quoted Bianchi, that wasn't quite clear.

However your thoughts about Foley are way off base, and using Biblical quotes to justify your false assumption is a misuse of the Bible and shows your total misunderstanding of what Foley is saying.

You should be ashamed on more than one level.

Problem with the article is that it is premium material I have to pay for, but will not.

This is my take on it too, that it's actually Foley's ego at play here. Firing Muschamp would force him to admit he has made the same mistake twice in 10 years.
