What he said...I still have nightmares about those FTs Calathes missed down the stretch against UK.

Green held his own against future NBA guys like Mike Conley, Darren Collison and Jordan Farmar on the game's biggest stage.

It's difficult to look at members of the '06 and '07 teams individually, because as a team they fit together so well.

That said, choosing between Miller, Brewer and Parsons is no easy task. Parsons could end up being the best pro out of the three.

If we're talking just how good they were in college, I'd take Wilbekin at the point because he's good at both ends of the floor.

    This.

I have TG as one of the greatest players to ever wear the uniform. Despite the accolades, I still think he is often undervalued. He was a near perfect college PG.

You accidentally left off Chandler. Unless it was intentional, which would make you insane.

SF- Mike Miller, Corey Brewer, Chandler Parsons

By way of CP winning the SEC POY, should be either #1 or #2 on that list. CB got drafted higher no doubt. But CP has become the better pro between them and will probably give MM a run for his money on that as well.

I love TG, but I always felt he was lacking defensively.

How does anyone put Humphrey and Boynton over Beal in a list regarding the "Best Players"

not a knock on LH and all that he accomplished as a Gator, but BB is playing at an NBA all-star level in his second year being not even of legal age to have a drink.

Bradley Beal is arguably the best player ever to wear a Gator uniform let alone the position we have the least competition for "best"

Beal didn't play SG in college and wasn't close to the caliber of sg Humphrey was. Beal couldn't shoot worth a darn until the end of his one season. This thread is not titled best nba players associated with Donovan. Its about the best players while they were here at FLORIDA.

Sure, but TG was still a much better defender than Calathes.

We'll see how the rest of this season plays out, but Prather and Wilbekin both definitely will have cases to be made.

I love these types of threads, but whatever other board was discussing this sure doesn't know much about hoops given the names left off the list and the players in the wrong spots.

    Here is my list.

    PG: Nelson, Greene, Calathes
    SG: Humphrey, Beal, Dupay
    SF: Miller, Parsons, Brewer
    PF: Horford, Bonner, Murph
    C: Noah, Haslem, Lee

A couple of notes. For reasons that have always mystified me, Donovan played JHam at point and Nelson at shooting guard when both were healthy. In 2001, JHam blew out his knee and Nelson moved to point and had the best single season a Gator has ever had at point guard. After that, he moved back to shooting guard and wasn't nearly as effective.

I put Beal at SG because that was his natural position, and we ran a three-guard set that year to match the personnel.
