What does this have to do with us having a good defense?
You realize Yallahamma is a Bama fan?
Not saying that his word is gospel because of that, but he has no reason or motive to say what he's saying if he doesn't believe it.
Miami's defense was 116th in the nation last year, and everyone here said that they shouldn't improve that much, and we couldn't light them up. What makes you think we will light up USCe and Georgia (or LSU, Mizzou, FSU, etc)?
We have issues on offense, and had them for years. it is not going to be fixed overnight.
Nobody said this. What was said was that their defense was so low the best you could reasonably expect them to improve (based on similar single seasons with most returning starters) was about 50 spots or ~70 yards per game average.
Well guess what: they gave up an average of 470 yards per game last year and we put up 420. Miami's stout defense was not our problem on Saturday, no matter how many times the moronic announcers praised them.
Our D is great, yes one of the top 3 or 4 in the nation, I think, if they don't tire out from being on the field too much in the future.
We owe a great debt of thanks to Coach Muschamp for that tough D, it is clearly his strength.
But very rarely can the D win a game single-handedly.
