Not really a surprise considering Florida hasn't been in contact with Knox in over a month. #Gators

This doesn't sound good because we really need offensive line help. I see that he went to USF's camp & was talking about it afterward. Maybe that got under his recruiter's skin.

Not elite sec talent if u ask me. I think he's to raw. He's an oversized te. We need to add some true o lineman that will help give us the next step up. Bye Knox

We signed only three offensive linemen the last couple of years & had to get a defensive lineman to move over. So, I'd think we need the type of player that can come in & contribute quickly. This player probably wasn't that guy, but who will we get to replace him?

There must have been a reason why the coaching staff has not been in touch and maybe we have some other higher rated prospects in the fold.

Is it possible he sees that we don't seem to develop OL talent. Since Pouncey's left, what OL players have developed into dominating players. If it was my son, I don't know that I would be impressed.

According to the Gainesville Sun.........."Knox struggled when he worked out at UF on June 15 and was one of only two commits who didn't speak with Gators coach Will Muschamp at the camp".

Obviously, the staff doesn't think he's good enough and they can sign better prospects than Knox.

No. It seems UF stopped recruiting him, not the other way around. He still has UF on his list of schools.

In an article the other day, I think it was Koehne who said that after three offensive scheme changes in his four years, he could finally cross-train at other positions because we have the same coordinator for the first time in his UF career. That has hampered o-line development. Additionally, we just haven't had recruits that were NFL talent at the position. Nixon & Wilson were our last 5* recruits.

Sounds mean, sorry. Treat people with respect, same as we should speaking of recruits on this board.

To anyone who has followed recruiting, Knox and Paul were expected. It's about time.

Starting to get concerned with the OL recruiting as FSU may have a better oline than us...who would have believed that 5 years ago.

Them dropping Knox is a reason to be optimistic. You drop players when you feel you can do better. Right now they have 3 OL commits that they like.

I personally don't like this dropping of players, if that is in fact what happened, we get all upset when a kid breaks his "commitment" to Florida, but it appears our coaches have no problem breaking their "commitment" to a kid.

I think this has the potential to be a PR disaster and could be used to negatively recruit against UF.

I would prefer that we don't offer a kid a scholarship and accept his "commitment" unless we are prepared to honor that scholarship offer.

    My two ¢

Recruiting is a 3-year project these days. Interest from both sides is going to ebb and flow. It's not like we kept him in the fold up until NSD, then told him to hit the bricks.

Agree with this. Why would we offer in the first place . Tis does not look good. That is 2 OL prospects. It is not like we are loaded up in the last couple of classes.
