Jolly Pumpkin sour stout. Good not great.
Just picked up a four pack of Bittersweet Linny's RIPA, a strong Rye IPA from Schmaltz in SF. Great company. They now own Brooklyn Brewing. This stuff is over 10% abv and in the 90-100 IBU range. Used to spend $11 a four pack for this stuff. Got it for $7.99 tonight. The cheesy grocery store where I got it doesn't attract craft brew shoppers, so this stuff sat on the shelf forever. These morons think that the beer is going bad, when in fact, it's getting better with age. This was brewed last November. Tastes better than any I've ever had. The rye and the hops have both settled down. Goes great with the spicy Mexican food I made for my family… right before they all decided to go out.
Found a 6 pack of Brown Sugga yesterday. Never seen it before. Guy behind the register said they somehow ended up with a couple of 6 packs that he didn't order. Looking forward to trying one.
I am old school I guess, it was storming here so I couldn't grill out, so I went to a local pub and had me some nice large cold Bud light on draft and a grilled chicken sandwich.
I like this beer.
Sounds like a great find.
Stone Smoked Porter
Started off with a Blackwater (Darkwater) and now on to a Supplication
Late Sunday night KBS. That's strong work, Ray....
Shared my second to last one of these with Rburnett last weekend. This is the final one. Which completely sucks. Because it's delicious.
I'm on vacation.
