Be real: WM is staying. So, who's 2014 OC?

This whole offensive scheme is such a cluster****, I don't know who goes or who stays, but it's been this way since 2010. Yeah, we've had several OC's so it must be personnel. Goes to recruiting and injuries and stability within the system. I say scrap it all and start over.

The real question is who would AZ pick as OC. I bet it sounds something like "That's not up to me it's up to muschamp but let's see what happens."

    Here's a thought:

Does it make sense for foley to say "fire your offensive staff and keep your job, Will." I mean, you'd think he should have the freedom to retain or pursue whoever he wants if his job counted on it anyways. Obviously he does it if foley forces him to fire his staff but is that fair?

Muschamp seems like a stubborn person that won't admit when he's wrong, so I'll go with he's going to sink the ship with Pease everyone other coach he has. The offense will never change and he will be gone at the end of the year. And the only reason he lasts that long is because JF is also being stubborn.

I am on you mind like that John?

But I agree with you Foley either should fire Muschamp or let him make his own decisions.

I don't believe CWM can get a good to excellent offensive mind to come to work for him. Why would a proven offensive coordinator want to work for the anti-offense coach. CWM isn't capable of allowing his offense to shine brighter than his favorite child.

I believe you are correct. After watching Muschamp speak to the media the other day, I don't expect any staff changes whatsoever... even if we only beat Georgia Southern the rest of the way.

Also the same staff that benifited from a freak play that kept them from losing to Lousiana Lafaette

I like Pease. I don't think he is the problem. I've spoken to a couple of Boise St. fans, and they hold a very high opinion of Brent. I actually called into the HP call center and spoke to a business Rep who happened to be in Idaho. He was a big time Boise St. fan. He told me nobody is happy with their current OC, and if Petersen ever left they would take Pease back as HC. He said Pease gave them 5 good years and he did a very good job at OC. Just thought I would pass that on.

Our problem all along has been the O line. We've gone through 3 OL coaches in 4 years, with not much improvement. I think Davis certainly has the credentials. We are lacking in our OL recruiting, which is what will ultimately fix the problem. To be fair to Davis, he has been here a very short time, so I would give him a chance to get the players in.

Everyone has been clamoring for us to stretch the field. It's obvious to me our vertical passing game has been a weakness for us. The plays won't work without o line blocking.

I don't really think it matters anymore. The sleeping giant woke up, stretched his arms and kicked his legs a few times, but has rolled over and gone back to sleep. Welcome back to the 70s and 80s folks. I don't think there's going to be a Spurrier or Liar to rescue us this time.

Much as I'd prefer to think you're wrong, you may be right. There is no ironclad rule that dictates that your favorite team is destined to be a perennial national title contender. We may have had our day in the sun.
