Be real: WM is staying. So, who's 2014 OC?

IMO, debating whether WM should stay or go is moot. The only scenarios where he goes are if he refuses to make staff changes on offense after the regular season, or UF loses BADLY in several games (one of them UGA), or if UF loses EVERY remaining game. And, I don't see any of those as likely.

So, the big question really is: who would be some good candidates to become the next OC? Frankly, I haven't got a clue.

Many on this board are a lot smarter than I am about this stuff. What say you?

I hope not. I think that would amount to professional suicide by WM.

Well since he already stated that this is the same staff that came within a fumble of playing for a NC, I would beat anything that he makes no changes. Also I would bet anything that we get beat badly by UGa and Fsu. Sounds like it meets both of your criteria.

Simply have Joker and Pease switch jobs. Of course if Pease would prefer to go elsewhere, so be it.

Pease will be here, its more likely that Davis is fired.

I'm cool with that as long as we have an offense.

I'll go with Joker. Retaining Pease will only accelerate a loss of millions in WM's earnings. I hope he understands this.

So, bring in the 4th OC in 5 years so the players can start over again. No thanks. That just gets us further behind the eight ball.

If they are going to start back over again, just fire the whole damn bunch and do it RIGHT this time.

    Brent Pease.

Now I'm going to have another drink.

But I'm not sold on the premise, because I don't think he survives six or seven losses, which seems pretty inevitable to me. And if he salvages the season -- say finishes with four losses -- I think Texas comes a'callin.' Gow willing.

Tony Franklin? The Tony Franklin? The guy that has been at 7 schools in 13 years? The guy was blacklisted from coaching for writing a book about the insides of Kentucky football. Naaa, I'll pass.

Lol, I was just messing with you. Anyway, I'd take J. Franklin for HBC.

Unless Pease is hired away, he stays, think Davis does too.
