Do we have any tracking mechanism for current baseball recruits? (JUCO/High School)
We used to get great updates on baseball recruiting. What's happened?
Cody Jones left
That stinks

Gotta get some of the big guys in. We've had no luck in the draft since Whitson, and you can see where it's left us.
Maybe snag a JUCO or two as well, I also believe we have a JU transfer that will be eligible next year. IMO, main concern is getting a SOLID starting rotation next year. The bats are what they are, we just haven't had enough quality starts on the weekends. IMO
English translation please.
Huh? The pitching has far exceeded the hitting this year.
Nick Washington and Johnny Townsend (a Punter turned Catcher???) are both on football scholarships. I wouldn't count on them to provide much to the baseball team.
How come we don't see a huge freaking 1B in that recruiting class? We need one in the worst of ways.
Puk is a 2 way player who plays 1st. He's 6'7, 220. Apparently there's a chance he makes it to campus, but who knows. He's a big time prospect.
What do you consider Alonso and Sternagel?
Projected to play another position by scouts so I'm not gonna try to guess whether they can be 1B. Those who know more can fill in the blanks.
My understanding is that one of the big reasons Puk committed to Florida is because Sully wants him as a 2 way player. If he comes to school, he'll play 1st next year.
Both are corner guys...seen them play and that is their destination barring something bizarre
How many of the ranked players are going to be lost to the MLB draft?
Hopefully not as many as the last few years.
Puk is supposed to make it to campus. I guess we shall see. It would be a big get.
I wouldn't say the pitching has far exceeded the bats. Both were very mediocre. This weekend was a great example, blew late leads in both games. It all starts with a solid starting rotation. Crawford has been ok, but it's patchwork from there.
