Go easy on them. Every school has their share of nut cases. Didn't we have a serial killer on our team?

Lived in Mobile, AL for a few years, Bama fans are the single reason that Auburn is my #2 team and i lived there during the Shula years, i can't imagine being there now. There is nothing bad enough that can happen to that program.

What makes me sad about College Football is that it has become such a money maker that we may never see another "Death Penalty" handed down again (not that I want one). If Penn State was deemed not worthy of such a penalty, then I find it hard to find a situation that would justify putting any other program on such a restriction. That school was behind the most heinous crimes I could ever imagine taking place.

P.S. I am not suggesting you meant they should receive that restriction, I just felt like if the crimes committed at PSU were not worthy of the Death Penalty, I gave up all hope of the NCAA really giving a **it about how schools run their programs.

You are spot on. I lived in the Panhandle for a number of years, and rubbed elbows with lots of Auburn and Alabama fans. The gumps are the worst, but Auburn isn't far behind. In Alabama, football isn't an obsession, it is a severe mental illness.
