Wow, I know it's recruiting season but other than a couple of blips there has been no mention of Bader, what happened, is he gone for good, if not how long is his suspension. Who takes his space in the line up?

Length of suspension probably dependent upon what charges/blood test results. OF likely has the 2 freshmen and Shafer

Seems unlikely that he'd be kicked off the team, but Sully's rather blunt "Harrison Bader has been suspended from all team activities indefinitely" gives a pretty strong indication of how he feels about the matter. I would guess he still plays this year, but it'll probably be awhile.

At least 10 games possibly double that. Not a very wise choice from a kid who was expected to lead.

Exactly , it tells me he don't give a rats azz about his teammates. I'm not saying he should sit out x amount of games , but I hope Sully runs until his liver screams. Sully needs to see puke .. Daily

I'm sure he's in for a world of hurt. But don't expect him back anytime soon.

Baseball is a funny sport. Sometimes when you give away your starting role then you may never get it back because your replacement does the job for you. The decisions you make off the field can be hard lessons to learn on the field. You are about to start the season and you are doing this to yourself and your teammates is not going to please the coaching staff one bit and I would assume there is going to be many hoops to go through before the trust is earned again.

I read somewhere that it is 18 games, but take it with a grain of salt.

He made a mistake and will pay the price. To say he doesn't care about his team because of it-well I'd refer you back to Scottie Wilbikin. Selfish to be sure, let's hope he grows from this and becomes the leader SW has.

Is it selfish when your coach and team put faith in you, bring you in as a leader and you go out and get drunk and then drive around on a cycle? I would expect that any coach tries to build a "team" dependency on each other as Billy has done apparently a couple of times with his guys. What if a Patric Young "led the team off the cliff" instead of showed them how to hustle. This is one of those things we need to trust the coaches to handle "within the team".

I saw a #8 (Bader ?) working out in RF during Gator infield pre-game. If that was him, it is the 1st sighting of him this spring - at least that i have noticed. Did anyone else notice him today or previously participating in team activities? I doubt they took his number away so maybe he is on the long road back from perdition. Hope so.

Have not seen him in the dugout and I looked for him on Saturday.
Supposedly he is back starting with the Texas A & M series.
Might just be the spark we need if the pitching continues to hold up.

Welcome back Justin. Inserted into the 3 hole for his first game he goes 2 for 4 with a double.
