In theory I don't have a problem with the death penalty and think the culprits in this case would certainly be deserving candidates. The problem comes with putting it into practice. I can't really stomach the thought of sending innocent people to death at the rate at which we currently do. IMO, with the death penalty you've got to be absolutely sure and as it is, cops lie and eyewitness testimony is fairly unreliable.

isn't incarceration for life in a bad, dirty facility a stronger punishment than instant death?

As much as you guys like to criticize Sharpton and Jackson, you sure can sound a lot like them at times.

Whats wrong with and eye for an eye as it relates to murder?

If you murder someone (with malice) why can't we just murder you in the same fashion? I bet there would be a lot less murders.

Unfortunately someone will make the "he's a good boy from a bad life" argument....hopefully he rolls on his friends, though.

Wow. Obama's sons murdered Obama's grandfather. I expect the POTUS to take us through this clear teachable moment post haste.

Silently residing in a campaign year. Goes dormant once the campaign is over.

Bad timing in this case for The Great Jackass--he could have used this one nicely had it been prior to Nov last year.

    Cruel, heartless, tragic.

The killer(s) deserve life in a very rough prison.

Doesn't this remind you of those teenagers in Oklahoma who killed that Aussie because they were bored?

Not really, the article says the motive was robbery in this case.
