Obama says he didn't know and that is all just a mistake. First part is a lie. Second part is true.

I fully expect to be a part of the cancelled plans next year.

Was able to keep our grandfathered plan this year with another double digit premium increase...

Same way they have on everything---they figured they would lie about anything which would come up and the masses would believe them. Blindly. You know, the same way Hussein's supporters do with anything he says or does.

hard to take anything from that article, as it starts with a conservative think tank telling us what "could" happen

SHOCK: 80 million could lose employer coverage under Obamacare
    November 26th, 2013
    Share5 Tweet4 0 Share0

Almost 80 million people with employer health plans could find their coverage canceled because they are not compliant with ObamaCare, several experts predicted.

Their losses would be in addition to the millions who found their individual coverage cancelled for the same reason.

Stan Veuger of the American Enterprise[IMG] Institute said that in addition to the individual cancellations, “at least half the people on employer plans would by 2014 start losing plans as well.” There are approximately 157 million employer health care policy holders.

Avik Roy of the Manhattan Institute added, “the administration estimated that approximately 78 million Americans with employer sponsored insurance[IMG] would lose their existing coverage due to the Affordable Care Act.”

So the warnings about price hikes for several years now from the right has been....incorrect?

Ok. If you care to explain to those who have seen premiums skyrocket along with a lot of useless coverage--go right ahead.

And when their competitors are doing the same thing? I'm going to lay it out here because I don't think liberal give a sh!t about people loosing insurance as long as it's for the cause to achieve a single payer government controlled system.

If this is true, good. There's never been a good reason to have health insurance tied to employment. It would be like having cars tied to employment. If you're employed, your employer will negotiate with Chevrolet directly to get a good 'group rate' on cars for you. But you can only buy Chevys and there are only 2 or 3 models to choose from.

There's no bigger 'group' than the entire US population. Adding millions of consumers into the open market for health insurance is a good thing that would increase choice and competition. Supposed free market conservatives will disagree, but we know why. Employers should give the money they spend on insurance directly to their employees. Employees should then go shop for products with it. That is how it is with virtually everything except for health insurance.

Sometimes cars are tied to employment as part of a package. In such instances when employers are dealing with a supply and demand issues of talent it's their business what they offer as part of an overall comp package. Many jobs don't have health insurance attached as part of their comp and that is going to grow but never go away completely. Well unless the statists get their way.

Like most of the trumped up horror stories out there about ACA, I think this is overblown.

Exactly what is overblown? That less employers are going to offer healthcare insurance?
