Which do you prefer to watch a game on and which do you think players like best?
Real all around.
Real, unless the place can't keep it green and it looks awful.
Nothing like the real thing baby.
I prefer the real one's, but don't mind the artificial one's when they are bigger...
I see what you did there!
You should prefer artificial turf only if:
You like playing in an ambient temperature of about 140 or 150 degrees in September.
You like getting tackled on a sidewalk covered in doormats.
You like your chances of blowing out a knee if you cut on a seam.
I assume they've made it safer in places where it is still used, but there is no good reason to use fake turf outdoors.
Plant High in Tampa a year or two ago installed field turf on their football field ($800,000) It is outdoors. The field is used for many sports and they needed the durability of the turf year around.
I believe there his another HS here in Tampa that also uses it.
We should use FieldTurf on the practice field....
They like real sod
Thought I accidentally clicked The Pub when I saw the title.
I usually prefer the real stuff over fake in pretty much any scenario
Artificial--must faster field than natural
When you puke on artificial, it just sits there and cooks.
players like turf, fake stuff is 30 degrees hotter I mean super hot.
Not to mention all the snot rockets near the sidelines.
The injury difference alone justifies having an indoor practice facility.
Have you ever noticed they put a tarp down on the sidelines where the players stand?
'Field Turf' = sales Pitch
