I'm shocked. Does this mean he isn't leaving Baylor for UF until 2024?

Briles is kinda old and coaches no D most years. He was a good candidate, but not my top tier.

What's his buyout? I am sure the bull gators can match it.

This is of course the biggest part. If the buyout is low enough, the length of the contract is window dressing.

...though, I doubt he's the guy on the radar...if JF was even looking.

If James Franklin becomes unattainable, I will cry

Don't worry, Vandy will give Franklin at least 10 more years, and 20 million $$'s 'cause they heard JF was in town.

The message is pretty clear -- Art Briles will opening up Baylor's new stadium in 2014. Told the buyout would be significant.

I'm told Art Briles' new deal at #BU - 10 seasons thru 2023 - is for roughly $45 million (most of it guaranteed) w a buyout near $5 million.

Ouch that's pretty significant. However, I could see a school paying it if they really wanted him

Texas can pay it. This won't stop them if they don't get Saban.

This means Briles threads are now off limits. Right?

Waco sucks, but you're about an hour from Dallas or Austin.

    Could be worse.
