If this is true, one would wonder if these orders were given to maximize the carnage.

Gun control advocates wouldn't mind sacrificing a few serfs to get to their end goal.

Sounds like a conspiracy theory to me.

Gun control advocates love stories like this one. It's just collateral damage in their eyes. There wasn't a dry seat in Piers Morgan's set.

If true it was certainly an irresponsible decision.

Short of any details on the order, my guess is that it was most likely a turf issue rather than any conspiracy.

Stand down: A government official told CNN that when the first radio call came in about a shooting at the Navy Yard, highly trained tactical U.S. Capitol Police officers headed to the base but were told by a watch commander to stand down. The chief has now ordered an "independent fact review."

    http://www.cnn.com/2013/09/18/us/navy-yard-shooting-recap/index.html?hpt=hp_t1

If the watch commander is the one that gave that command, his behind is grass...

do some of you guys honestly believe that some police official ordered his squad to stand down in order to increase fatalities at the Navy Yard so there would be a better chance at more gun control laws?
    good god.

Agree overall. This sounds a lot like Benghazi. If so, one wonders when the people responsible will declare; "What does it matter now?"

Who was the "watch commander," a DC police officer or a Navy Yard military officer?

So why were they told to "stand down?" Care to opine us with your wisdom?

Not a clue. But I somehow doubt "So more people will die" was the reason.

It was a false flag probably mk ultra related. Also why was a man with such a violent past given top secret clearance? They make you fill out 50+ pages to gain access to these bases and they suddenly missed him??

Also in the Boston bombing there were bomb sniffing dogs and squads there before the explosion happened (strange).

The difference being that the "kids" in the service that are sent to war volunteer. Getting killed at a military base is not what they signed up for, though.

Why yes, that's exactly what it sounds like.

This is what? The seventh (eighth?) shooting in a row that's a conspiracy and the 8000th news event in a row that's a conspiracy, so clearly, our overlord master race is PISSED we peons haven't quite figured "it" out yet.

Of course, being direct and saying what their goal is would be too direct, we're supposed to "figure it out" on our own. Wait! Eureka...women must rule the world in your alternate reality, right?

 I said it sounds like a conspiracy theory, not that there was a conspiracy. I'm a little more nuanced than you seem to believe. You may scoff at the evidence I believe when it comes to things like this, but I do require evidence. There is none in this case. An incompetent boob getting a dozen people killed is not evidence of anything except his own stupidity.
