The push for deregulating everything combined with the Bush administration's push for homeownership for all.

If you check I think you'll find both Clinton and Bush pushed for more home ownership. It's useless to try and lay the whole crash at the feet of any one party. They were both culpable.

Of course, but go ahead and try to tell that to shabb. You'll have to dig his head out of the sand first.

yet you yourself make the opposite assertion...

    what, are you a psychic?

your accusing/mocking those who claim Obama's would be better ....by insulting them with the term 'psychic' also applies to all those who assert that Romney, etc would be better. since there is no way to prove the alternative.

your insult applies to both cons and libs in this thread who are playing the old coulda, woulda, BS

thank you for falling for the trap

What a flipping joke of a post. Are you serious, trying to claim the far left flaming website 'rationalwiki' as some kind of authority? I'm not sure what is more sad, that you actually read that site or that you would have the nerve to post anything from that place on here and claim it is some kind of authority in refuting the website the OP started the thread from. Then again, perhaps you just provided the quote from 'rationalwiki' as a joke. If so, then you got me. Unfortunately, your posts have never been that creative.

Just to provide a bit of neutral observation for the masses in reference to Zerohedge, here is what Wikipedia has to say....

Freddie has figured out that Obama is "big hat, no cattle" and is now pining for Hillary. Until he figures out that Liberalism always leads to misery and liberal policies always fail, he may as well keep blaming Bush. He ain't running again.

is there anything in wiki's description of zerohedge that is contrary to that of rationalwiki? not really.

in any case...all three websites....zerohedge, wiki, rationalwiki are written in without accountability and anonymously.....

making all three sites useless for being an authoritative source on anything.

*I* didn't give him four more years but the odds are strong I'd be unhappy no matter who won.

Seem like Oldgator is attempting his/her hand at revisionist history concerning who has done more harm to our country as POTUS. We all =know the truth so stop with you failed attempts to change the facts about Obama's uselessness in the White House.

Obama-scam is the biggest killer of jobs America has ever had to deal with from any previous POTUS in the history of America.

I'm reading article after article in the financial publications that we are headed into another recession in late 2014. I did not realize we had ever pulled out of the last one! Obama's regime and their publicists (MSM) have done a masterful job of lowering American's expectations, hopes and dreams.

Conservative policy really served us well around 2007. Deregulate everything. No business oversight. Casino economy.

    Pass.

Uhhh, last time I checked, your boys Barney Frank and Chrissie Dodd are not/were not conservatives. Since both those two (who coincidentally decided to bail out of public service following the collapse) singlehandedly had more to do with extending and inflating the mortgage mess, perhaps you shouldn't call it "conservative" policy. Fred, it wasn't conservative policy to push loans off to people with no paperwork, no down payment and no proven ability to pay.

It is conservative policy to want all of our citizens to be "owners" to the extent they can. Makes better and more "invested" citizens doesn't it?

Believe what you want. Don't see how it is helping you or others with Obama.

GOP 101: if a Democrat doesn't stop a republican from screwing something up, the Dem then becomes culpable.

FYI, this Barney Frank nonsense has been debunked ad infinitum.
