Grier all day long over White, White kind of came out of now where and they (the press and coaches at the camp) love to play up that story, but the truth is when they talked about Grier they said he had the stronger arm ran the second fasted shuttle time (only one better was the Nole kid) and that Grier is an increasable athlete and leader. Additionally they said the Grier arm strength and greatly improved from his sophomore season and the his upper body is starting to look more developed , that he has always had superior lower body strength. Everyone should be very happy we are getting Grier

I get your basic premise and I don't think anyone here is 100% sure Grier will be the next coming, but I disagree on your position.

I think your position is a little bit like a guy who decides to never commit to another woman, just because one or two of them in the past didn't work out. Sometimes, if you want the big catch, you just have to trust your instincts, make the best choice based on the information you have and see where it goes.

Grier could be as special as any QB could be in our system- he could be a 20 TD QB someday.

I love how people on here are defending white as if he was some undisputed number 1 qb, he performed well at a training camp which really doesnt recreate a game like atmosphere at all it was more like a vacuum effect, he threw under no pressure from d linemen and with no pads on. Idc who you play against, grier threw for over 600 yards in one game last year what did sean white do. Hes a nobody prospect that wont even become a starting qb in a major university sorry, if he was so great he would be a lot more hyped up then he is, plus those knocking on griers size is ridiculous, hes a 17 year old kid that will more than likely put on some weight once jeff dillman gets a hold of him hes almost 6'3 and has a lot of room to grow and he has the agility of a top running back no way sean white comes close to grier

Now I'll just have to remember to bump this thread in three or four years to see the answer to my original question...

Probably, I doubt Grier was going anywhere anyways.

All I care about is that we got Grier. Any other qb recruit we get is fine with me but if the coaches told Grier that he would be the only qb we would recruit, then we should keep our promise. However, I would have to beliebe that the coaches probably told Grier that he was the qb we wanted and any other qb we got would be for insurance purposes.

Go back and read this thread again, I never said he was going to be good or bad, I was simply asking the question.

No axe, it simply bugs me when people state their opinions as fact.

Was it not you who factually stated that overlooking White and going all-in with Grier was a mistake?

    nothing more?

Will Grier's father said you dont want to have another QB in the class with you. They eliminated schools because of having another QB committed. The staff told him he was going to be the only QB in the class. Why on earth would Sean White go to UF when he could go to Auburn and be the only QB in the class? You continue to ignore logic and thing stated by various posters in the thread. Why I have not clue.

You still haven't given you reason for taking Sean White opposed to other QB's either

I was simply stating my opinion, and it was clearly stated as such.

    Read harder next time.
