Apparently you do, since you keep responding. By the way, my original post was in jest as the definition of apathy is essentially: I don't know, and I don't care.

I knew your post was in jest, as was mine ... I like irony hence my being apathetic and yet caring enough to respond ... I'm trying to entertain myself while the sky is reportedly falling ...

Telepathy? Maybe. Many of the posters on this board apparently are clairvoyant.

Not sure when bowl games stopped counting. The counter to your numbers would be 1-4 against last five decent squads played. Plenty to be content with? Perhaps. Also plenty to be less than satisfied with.

What's wrong with wanting to be entertained ? That's what sports is. It ain't God and family. It's little more than a diversion.

My 2 cents. WM style is boring. Let's be honest. We are in year 3 and although we usually beat teams we should beat, we have lost twice to LSU, twice to uga, once to um, 1-1 with usce and sow, once to UL. Our record is terrible against good teams and thus that builds very little enthusiasm. Being near 50/50 against good teams is not what most fans are used to in the SOS and CM days.

Most fans imo would not want to pay the going ticket price to watch our very good D and then watch our 3 yds a play offense. Not after what we've been used to, call the fanbase spoiled, but thats how it is, nothing wrong wanting to be entertained and win.

I would not drive 6 hours one way to watch this kind of offense even if we are playing usce or bama at home. But that's just me and I'm ok watching on TV. I like WM, the fire in his belly and all, but up to this point I don't have confidence that he will be anything more than an 8 or 9 win coach here on average. JMO and i could be totally wrong.

I love Gator football, but the style of play right now is not interesting to me. People who defend Muschamp want to compare us to Alabama, but Alabama scores lots of points with a great D. I just won't spend 4 hours of my time watching a 14-7 game. When Gator games are on I now tend to flip channels to watch some of the better games that are on. That never happened in the past.

    I share your sentiment exactly.

For me, its tough to get excited when you hire a first-time head coach and you are unsure if he really knows what hes doing when it comes to everything but defense (offense, game planning, gameday management, etc), which he is learning on the job.

-Year after year we statistically rank at the bottom of the SEC and even the NCAA.
-His first two years we recruited almost nothing on offense.
-We have seen many questionable decisions on personnel.
-We have seen very questionable game-day strategy and game-planning.
    - We always seem to lead the league in penalties.
-We have seen very little improvement from individual players.
-We never ever play the backups at any position until someone gets hurt, which does not allow us to build any depth. Serious question, in the WM era has the backup QB ever taken a snap other than due to injury? In three years, that is insane.
-Right now we are in dire straights at OL, TE, RB, and QB with respect to depth. WR we are ok but the same 3 guys go out there every single play. The freshmen never spell the starters, they come in for the 4 wide sets where they are mostly decoys. Occasionally they get a ball.

I love his personality and hes been a beath of fresh air for sure. I have been saying he was a home run hire for Foley, but now I'm not so sure. I used to watch all of the press conferences but now I just don't care what he has to say. Not sold he's the guy.

And I agree with you about attending the games in person. I was considering going to this game but the thought of being surrounded by LSU fans while our offense (who I thought would be lead by Driskel at the time) would be struggling to line up right dealing with all the crowd noise, running the ball up the middle into the teeth of the defense and Driskel taking sack after sack due to poor blocking and QB play just did not make me feel like investing the time and money to go do that. Just not fun. I am going to the USCe game, but not too pumped about it.

Its one thing to play boring and be effective on offense and win. But another to play boring and be ineffective and lose. IMO, its not a style of play that will last long here.

Remember the offenses just about every SEC team abandoned when Spurrier came to Florida?

    That's our offense.

Major BS, folks complained during our 2006 season, during our 2008 season, last season during 11-1.

It's when the fans stop complaining and start not caring whether we win or lose, that's when there's a problem.
