I have to say that link is a little weird and not accurate, at least for me. I have BH and it says I can't access SECN and SECN2. Yet I certainly can. Right now I'm watching the Missouri - South Dakota State replay from last Saturday on SECN Ch 1150 HD. SECN2 Ch 1191 HD is up but no programming, just the various SEC logos bouncing around the screen.

My alternate is in SD. No HD for that one. But, TWCTV has it for streaming in HD. Go figure. I tried it on the xbox and it looks better than the SD feed. Why any network adds channels in SD that are available in HD is beyond me. I would say they are not well prepared for the future if they can't handle the bandwidth of a new HD channel.

Not everybody owns an HD tv. Strange, I know. :)

Some areas do not yet have HD technology, equipment or bandwidth available.

    We will be on SECN.

Nicholls at Arkansas will be SECN2, as I call it.

For the record, Cox in Gainesville is: SECN 68/1068, SECN2 is 6/1006.

BTW, the channel finder is really quirky, it only worked once or twice out of ten attempts for me.

I have Xfinity and have 2 SEC Networks. One SD and one HD! They are not 2 seperate channels though. Will not show 2 different games.

Providers usually activate an alternate channel when necessary and not during other times. DirecTV does this all the time.

I wonder if/when Comcast here will carry the alternate channel? On the plus side for this weekend, we're playing a team from Michigan so there shouldn't be an issue for me.

If it is like the SEC Network debut, Comcast will place the channels on the guide Saturday morning. My platform box reboots around 3:00AM and that is when changes are typically made for me.

Thx. I knew about the 1068, but had no clue on the 1006. Good to know.

Up here for the Big Ten Network the alternates are on all the time, only in SD. If there isn't alternate programming on then they just simulcast the primary channel. I'll be interested to see if Comcast does add the SEC+ channel on game day, and if I'll actually be able to find it. lol

Early this morning Comcast added the two alternate channels on my lineup. However, Comcast did announce yesterday that none of the alternate channels would be HD.

Cool, that gives me about 48 hours to search through my guide to find where they might have added them here. I'll need every minute of it!

FWIW, Uverse just added the SEC Alternate channel to their line up for this weekend, and out here on the left coast, that's where the Gator game is being carried.
