My youngest daughter is spending the month of August living with a family in Samoa (NOT American Samoa, the other one) teaching English to schoolchildren. Anyone ever been there? Anything in particular she should see or know in advance.

    Thanks for any help.

I knew some Angry Samoans once. I heard they saved Hitler's c*** and their old man was a fatso.

She needs to be aware that there are a lot of feral dogs running loose there. Some dogs are domesticated but there is no way to tell the difference until it's too late. The wild ones can be aggressive and mean. She should not approach a dog if she sees one, and it might be a good idea to carry a good solid stick and maybe even a couple of rocks with her when she is out and about. A lot of the natives do for that reason.
