I'll probably have them in my Elite 8, depending on seeding. They are going to be a tough out for someone. Their one problem is scoring droughts. At times, they can't find anyone that can hit a shot, especially mid range.

I am, depending, of course, with whom they get matched up - you, of course, can never predict what is going to happen, like when Syracuse lost at home to Boston College, but since about the middle of the year (shortly after their loss to the Gators in Gainesville, they appear to have been relatively steadily getting stronger.

Guard play is so important in the tournament and UT just doesn't have great guard play. I don't think they make the round of 16.

I wasn't thinking about the tick-tack stuff...but the heavier "old school" contact. Not sure how that will be called in the tourney, but seemed like it was called tighter in OOC games earlier in the season.

Yes, not shocked at all if they make it to sweet 16. Will also not be shocked if SEC has 3 teams in sweet 16.

Will you be shocked if the SEC has 3 teams in the finals?

I think we skew those numbers; they played us to the final 3 minutes both times we weren't in Gainesville and will be a tough out if they are focused..

They're very inconsistent this season in terms of effort. Maybe they'll continue what they've been doing the last couple of weeks but it wouldn't surprise me if they half-assed it as well.

To their defense, 4 of their losses this year are to the #1 and #2 team in the nation.

I'm guessing that was sarcasm. I think Buffett might pay a billion for making that call correctly, even if you missed a few others. ;)

I would be happy if Tenn and Kentucky make a run so the SEC looks like it has some decent teams. Naturally I want to see us go deeeeep.

They were one of the most physical teams UF played all year IMO. They are peaking over their last 6 games, a legit sweet 16 team to me.

No, they will be a high seed 11, and have to play a real team. They are pretenders, always hyped up towards the end of the year because they are thugs.

If we're a legit top 5 teams I would believe Tenn's good enough to be right there in it with most of the top 20 teams IF they play up to their potential. So yeah, they could represent.

Maybe they get lucky and their first couple games are manageable.

UT definitely got a draw that I think favors a matchup with Duke, and quite possibly a victory.

    -Iowa is limping in
-UMass also limping in, and overseeded relative to UT being underseeded
-After that, I'm not sure Duke can deal with Tennessee's blows (seems eerily like the 2006 4th seed LSU being more physical/athletic than the 1 seed Duke).
-And if they happen to get that far, Michigan doesn't play the physical brand that UT brings. Esp with no McGary. I think they could pound them in all game.

UT could legitimately make the Elite 8 here.

Don't drink the Tenn coolade folks. Perennial underachievers.

If they play with the focus they had in the SEC tournament, they can make some noise for the SEC and themselves, I hope they do. Obviously the Gators tend to bring the best out of them, now their coach has his work cut out for him

I think both them and Kentucky do. I know I am picking Kentucky to put espn's favorite team (shockers) to rest. WSU doesn't have the froncourt. Its a horrible matchup for them. Stein and Randle will have a field day.

I tell you, having watched Tenn. the 3 times they played UF, and a couple other times they've been on TV. I adore Stokes, if he measured 2 inches taller, he'd be everything people want out of Randle.

I'd like for them to do well, and raise the perception of the SEC this year.

UT will not make it past Duke.
