think we were a rotten team with nothing but problems and would finish in the toilet.

And no fewer than three threads by you bringing attention to them. I know you might reply that I can bypass them, but A) too many threads floods the front page B) these threads bring more attention to the problem.

I'm new to the boards, and I don't think we're rotten because of what's said on here. I think our offense and coaching is rotten based on what I see each week. I see us as mediocre actually, not rotten because our defense is elite. It has nothing to do with the boards. Every board has whiners, skeptics, and sunshine pumpers. This one is no different.

What exactly makes us "mediocre?" The last two years were pretty much like our great teams from 1983-5. Were they mediocre as well, or do you not remember them?

We do tend to focus on the negative these days. I'm a big believer in things happening for a reason. If someone gets hurt, its an opportunity for the backup to shine. We have taken some major injury shots so far this year and yet....we still have a lot of goals in reach. Let's focus on the positive and watch these kids amaze us. BTW.....if you think we are negative....go check out some of the Message Boards at other SEC schools. Negativity is contagious!

Do you feel that our super-conservative gameplan against cellar-dwellar UK will give our green QB and receivers the necessary reps to perform when they need to against teams that actually have a pulse?

It's really not that hard to figure out why people are concerned/frustrated with our offensive philosophy. We've beaten 3 crappy teams and lost to 1 decent team. What exactly have we accomplished this year?

Our offense in okay, but not bad. The problem is that everyone wants to have Oregon's offense with our defense, which is fine by me, but unrealistic at this time.

I think we are fine. What a statement about our fan base that 11-2, 3-1 is unacceptable. With the injuries, with our inexplicable inability to hold onto the ball lately, we are still looking pretty good. I don't know how much evidence needs to be compiled that our style of playing wins games. The few that we have lost in the last two years have nothing to do with our "conservative" gameplan. But every week you get "it won't work against the big boys" crap. If we win 13 games this year, it will still be spewed on this board that we were lucky and it's only a matter of time before our conservative style does us in.

We lost to a Miami team by beating ourselves by turning the ball over. Aside from that we have dominated everyone even Miami.
