But not surprising, OA needs as many people signed up as humanly possible.

This is really a smack in the face of the ethics of journalism and of the election process.

What ever happen to reporting the what, when, where, and how? What ever happen to the idea that the press was the watch dog for the people?

Talk about abusing the power of the Oval Office.
This is like the old Communist Party in the USSR hold court with Pravda and Task.

both parties have had POTUS's have private sessions with just members of their special interest groups.

seem to recall the GWB admin having just oil industry execs for a private meeting concerning energy.

to accuse one party of doing it and insinuating other party doesn't is a farce and nothing more than an effort to deceive

BTW---does a POTUS of either party have the right to meet with American citizens the POTUS wants to meet with? Like to hear from folks with expertise in the area of constitutional law as to whether or not 1st Amendment Right(dealing with assembly) allows for a POTUS to have meetings with other American citizens.

if GWB had the right to meet with just oil industry execs to make energy policy for the U.S., doesn't Obama have the right to meet with members of the liberal portion of the MSM?

LOSS OF CREDIBILITY BY THESE JOURNALISTS? Ya think?

If they want to write for the 18% of the population that consider themselves liberals (most of whom aren't willing to pay for content), let the goofy bastards starve.

I am an old believer of Government in the sunshine.
Doesn't matter who is in office.
This is not just a private meeting with private citizens.
It is a private netting with the Fourth Estate. An organization that reports the news and is a major input for shaping public opinion. Unfortunately the news they report is slanted and is actually propaganda.
Propaganda that is use to influence the decisions at the voting booth.

Having an energy meeting with oil execs isn't even remotely similar to this. I know energy/oil is taboo to you. It would be similar to Obama talking to HC execs about Obamacare. When dealing with regulation in an already highly regulated industry it's smart to get grassroots information from the best source possible. The government should ALWAYS do such a thing when thinking about regulation of an industry. It's smart governance. It's due diligence

That is a far cry from a meeting with friendly journalists to go over approved talking points.

Exactly....since when did the media become a "special interest" group? It is supposed to be objective and without bias. Well, it used to be anyway. Now that the Great Jackass has them kissing his ass up one side and down the other, the rules have changed.

Old can't justify this regardless if he thinks he can.

So Obama is talking to liberal journalists. I hate to say it, but Bush did it, too, only the journalists were from the right of the political spectrum.

Bill....in their denial laden minds, the libs can't distinguish the difference in having representative or execs in to discuss policy/decisions pertaining to THEIR respective fields....and having cherry picked media people in to give orders on how to sell---health insurance???.

Yes, the transparency and objectivity of the Slime in Chief rears it's corrupt head once again. While his blind supporters try to defend it.
