I took it as sarcasm. Obviously I could be wrong though.

He left Philly in a similar fashion as Coughlin leaving Jax. It was a mutual departure for both parties. Both were/are very good coaches, but their time was done in that particular job. I hope Reid does well...and I especially hope Alex Smith does well. He got a bad deal in SF (and who can blame SF?), imo, and handled it very well.

Paolantonio not only lobbied hard in the media for the Eagles to fire Reid but he went as far as to say, after he was fired, that Reid should never coach again.

This says a lot about that uncomfortable exchange.

I've seen several interviews with Andy Reid this week and I thought he was all-class! And I think what Vick said and did was all-class as well. And I'm not a Vick fan.

I think it's important to understand the background behind this. Reid was in Philly for a LONG time and they did very well under him. The Philly owners/GM really disrespected him in the way they handled his firing. You have to know that Reid loved Philly and the team and the players but was very hurt by the way things went down.

It was clear that he was hurt and the media jumped all over it and tried to make it a bigger deal than it should have been. They tried very hard all week to get Reid to say something negative but he didn't do it.

So at the end of the game, a game you know Reid had to feel great about winning against his replacement, and you know he has to want to just say to the Philly owners, "Hey, look at who's 3-0 and look who's 0-3". And then there were some very emotional post game meetings between Reid and former players and staff. Reid is an emotional guy.

I think at the time of that interview, Reid was pretty clearly overwhelmed by emotion. And Sal tried one last time to push him into saying anything and I think Reid was very careful not to fall into that trap.

Can you blame him though if that was the case?

I just saw it. He clearly didn't want to talk to him. Sal Pal has a long history with the Eagles and Reid. I think he was trying to be funny and didn't want to be bothered by am old friend.
Andy Reid has always been a class act. I'll pull for the Cheifs.

I saw the post game interview and I thought I heard Andy say, "This guy is not important." Refering to Sal when someone wanted to interview him and they thought Sal was already interviewing him. Then Andy stopped and talked to the girl after Sal had already started interviewing Andy. When she was done he kept walking and didn't stop for Sal. And then I thought I heard him say, "Are you blocking me (I guess from walking forward)?" Did anyone else hear that?

He wasn't trying to be funny, he doesn't like Sal. As explained earlier in this thread, Sal Pal lobbied for him to be fired. Not only that, but NFL Network broadcasted the game and is supposed to get the first interview. Sal Pal the douche ran in front and interviewed him out of turn. All of this clearly irked Reid and he should've treated Sal even worse.
