Didn't seem like we were struggling with signing ranked TEs. I mean Hernandez was very successful in the NFL(on the field of course). Now the ones we signed may not have worked out or lived up to potential, but they were still expected to be good. Jordan Reed of course was pretty successful himself.

Auburn seems to be tapping into the Juco's quite often, lately... and it's helped them quite a bit. So I'm for experience if we balance the talented freshman in there too. We need experienced big-ugly-s on both sides of the ball... freshman in the SEC that can start there are rare and if we can add someone from juco to start then I have to believe in the coaches choice of players.

This will be huge for the offense if it happens. Like HUGE.

What I'm saying is that Urban didn't use Hernandez like a typical tight end in his offense. Urban's offense doesn't use the tight end, but since Hernandez was such a versatile player (more like a Shannon Sharpe), Urban had him lined up in the backfield (e.g. in the triple option with Tebow) or in the slot out wide. Jordan Reed was originally recruited as a quarterback and wasn't permanently moved to tight end until Will arrived (since we lacked depth at that position because of Urban's offense.) But yes, Thompson (more of traditional tight end) and Taylor (more of a pass catching tight end) haven't lived up to expectations.

There are many ways to monetize web sites. Advertising is one of them. The Sun site has plenty. Asking Sun readers to answer stupid invasive questions before reading content is offensive and shrill. How is my opinion of "beauty products" in any way relevant to the sports section. I can't think of one other newspaper that I read online that requires this. And last time I checked, the vast majority of content on the Web is free.

Again, I encourage Sun web site readers to click off pages immediately upon seeing these marketing questions.

I live in C'ville and have watched this guy play the last few years. He would be a huge get for us. He's light-years ahead of anyone we have at the position currently. I'm not surprised he wants out of the dumpster fire that is UVA football right now.

I'm really surprised that London has failed there. Now, he did ride Dave Clawson's coattails at Richmond...but he still did a good job once he took over (only 2 years). I'm in the DC area and have never been to a game there (C'ville)...hoping to make it one of these falls. I did run the C'ville Marathon a few years ago. Great town/city. I actually own a lake front lot in Stanardsville (might build on it eventually).

of course for him to be eligible in the falls, he has to graduate in May. this school being the in same conference as f$u and unc, they may find a reason for him not being able to graduate.

If you are talking about the cb from Utah (Smith?), we actually got him with two years of eligibility, but he only played one. Going to draft with a year of eligibility was a really big mistake for all concerned. He didn't get drafted, and he could have REALLY helped that 2007 defense.

Hope our TE Coach and Roper got a graduation invitation from McGee! I'd be camping on this guy's doorstep. He is the missing link on the roster side.

And for this exact reason, mainstream newspapers will be out of business in a decade or two.
