Not to mention I think they've brought reinforcements , thanks to last seasons 4-8 debacle. It's like the taliban recruiting more members after a failed U.S. drone attack that kills innocents, they just line up to join the fray.

The pitchfork crowd is restless, eh?

I guess we didn't win the O&B game handily enough. :D

We know we're going to have a good defense. Kicking game looks much better. We know Roper can make an offense work with Duke athletes, and we have some real talent in the backfield and developing talent at WR. There's a lot of good to look forward to from those perspectives.

On the tough side is lingering question marks at OL and QB that will get tested by a brutal schedule. I am cautiously optimistic, but those two position groups really need to come through.

That's putting it lightly for sure. I'll just let our performance on the field be the ultimate trump card (hopefully) though I think even a 10-2 season will not suffice some based off of some of the comments I've seen.

Luckily Foley is the decision maker.... and the Ignore function works quite well for those posters who have excessively recurring cases of cranial rectum inversion. ;)

Is this transfer even allowed? The SEC passed a rule 2-3 years ago that graduate transfers must have 2 years of eligibility left to transfer to the SEC. He only has 1 left. Did the rule get changed back recently?

UVa head coach Mike London and offensive coordinator Steve Fairchild said during spring drills that McGee would play a different role in ’14. Rather than lineup strictly as a tight end, McGee would appear in a hybrid role, a mixture between tight end, wide receiver, and an H-Back, a position created especially for McGee’s abilities.

Sources indicated Friday that McGee was planning to transfer to Florida or possibly a school out west.

When reached, McGee would not confirm that report.

“I’m really just taking it all in now and I have not made any decisions,” McGee told The Daily Progress.

    http://mrsec.com/2012/03/sec-clarifies-policy-on-oriakhi-type-transfers/

    SEC Bylaw 14.1.15

“A student-athlete who, upon enrollment at the certifying institution, has less than two years of eligibility remaining, is not eligible for financial aid, practice or competition at the member institution. A member institution may request a waiver from the Conference office for a student-athlete transferring from an institution discontinuing a sport, or for a student-athlete transferring for the purpose of enrolling in an academic program not offered at the institution from which he or she is transferring.”

In other words, as long as the league allows it, Oriakhi could transfer to an SEC school and play if he simply enrolls in an academic track not offered by UConn.

Which means all the bluster about last year’s “no more one-year transfers” policy was just that — bluster. Unless, of course, the commissioner is actually prepared to refuse said waiver.

There was much talk last summer about the SEC nixing oversigning. In reality, it didn’t. Schools could still oversign thanks to a “soft” cap of 25 signees that still allows for backcounting. The move was a step in the right direction, yes, but there was more PR involved than actual change.

Don't think so, he is much taller and not as explosive and athletic, I think Matt jones could possibly do some of the things the unspoken of used to do for us.

I can, to an extent, understand the buyers remorse and to be honest, for a short time I was that guy. At the end of the day you have to get behind your team..just because we're good most of the time doesn't mean we're good all the time. We will be back..goood chance we are back and just don't know it yet.

Mdf, we've had our disagreements in the past but what I do appreciate about your posts are that they are team first. ...did get tired of the old base camp deal, but I'll let it slide. ;)
