    1. I was a top 25 sales person and liaison between the sales force and upper management. I headed up what was known as the leaders council.
    2. I know first hand from the mouths of upper management that they wanted to hire and promote women and minorities. They were under federal and industry pressure to do this.
    3. Let's just say that this was once a top five insurance company.
    4. I saw with my own eyes and heard from the mouths of management as women and minorities were promoted to satisfy quotas. In many instances there were better qualified White men who went back into sales to escape this sort of thing.

The irony of being a white male is we pay almost all of the taxes in America and pay the majority of the bills our wives and kids accumulate, but are told by the liberal media we are greedy and selfish.

Only liberalism can corrupt the definition of greedy and selfishness.

I was thinking the same thing. Playing the victim is kind of a wimpy thing to do, and portrays white males as weak and whiny.

You can be forgiven for your ignorance if you have never had someone promoted over you because of their race or gender. What do you do for a living?

They are usually killed by white zombies. Once again white zombies are portrayed in a negative light. I don't want to hear any of that white zombie privilege crap either.

I've never had anyone promoted over me because of their gender or race, but I've known plenty of victims who claim they have. I choose to just do a better job rather than claim victim hood.

Is that what you believe entitled you to promotions you didn't get? Do you not consider there are many factors to management and that it's *possible* that qualified people got promoted instead?

Too many people - when passed up for promotions, jobs, etc. - look for someone to blame. It's never their fault.

Assuming you're talking about Walt Disney World, I will further assume you're not talking about the entertainers?

By the way, even though my little pseudo-scientific TV show analysis above did not support the white buffoon hypothesis, I don't think that this is a crazy question to ask. I don't think that I am ready to answer the question in the affirmative, but I certainly don't mind the question.

My hope is that we find a way to respect all members of society without denigrating anyone. I do think there is a paucity of minority role models in many fields (my field, biology, seems to lack black females...and black males, now that I think about it), and this could certainly reflect a negative feedback mechanism. I don't advocate hiring a black candidate at the expense of a demonstrably more well qualified white person, but if all else appears equal, I would support using the candidate's value as a role model as a tie breaker.

There were no promotions in sales just sales results or the lack thereof. I would have had to take a serious pay cut to go into management. You're trying to make a case which doesn't exist.

I'm not making a case. I just don't buy the "75% of management was promoted due to race or gender" thing.
