Chris Horner, almost 42 years old set to become oldest(by almost 6 years) winner of one of the cycling worlds major grand tours. He is set to win the Vuelta as he has substantial lead going into final stage(which is mostly a pretty much non competitive parade going into Madrid)

He missed the Tour De France because of knee injury early this year.

3 grand tours(major 3 week long cycling race) by month in the year
    ---Giro--Italy
    ---Tour De France
    ---Vuelta--Spain

Not only is he set to win the Vuelta. It has been one of the most grueling major grand tour events in history due to the number of mountain top finish stages(TDF this year had 4 mountain top finishes in its stages while the Vuelta has had 11 mountain top finishes)
