American adults score poorly on global test

    Now we just need to figure out why most of the countries who scored better than us have much more liberal governments.

    Nah the tests are fine, I think school prayer is giving those countries an unfair advantage. You keep God out of the public schools, and he's going to bump scores down a few notches. For spite.

    I think you have to really strain to find a pattern between a group's place on an ideological spectrum and the "results" as you call them, especially because these are value judgments. The right hates liberals, so I would assume that the right would consider Obama a failure. And the same for Bush with the left's feelings on conservatives. I don't think we really prove much by reinforcing this truism.

    Yeah, they do in Mass., but those kids seem to do very well in tests.

    Instead of this being a left/right thing, maybe it should be a thing where we figure out what other folks are doing better than us, and we embrace the best of it and apply it here.
