How is it that the mods are allowing so many threads on coaching changes when there has been no announcement for a coaching change?

Unless somebody knows something I don't, there has been no such announcement.

I get it to a degree but reading this forum you would think the staff has already been canned.

Since it's quite possible and possibly even advisable that this not be the year to fire our coach, should we not tone if down on the forum? The ONLY difference we can make on here anyway is to scare our possible recruits more than we already have on the field.

Lets at least keep it to a thread. My only concern is how we look.

Yes, Muschamp is not going anywhere for another year. As for people posting who they want for OC, it should be obvious that no good OC is going to come here next year with Muschamp baking on the hot seat. Any change will be what should be obvious, i.e. Joker or Brian White, already on staff, as OC.

Zook was dismissed on a Monday.

There is probably enough to substantiate posting about new coaches, given what cost Zook his job, and when that decision was announced.

So would Joker or White be any better at evaluating talent and using the weapons we have to put together some semblance of an offense?

Not talking about winning any more games good - just not mind numbingly inept bad...

If Muschamp is retained, has there ever in the history of Gator football been a season to look forward to less than next year? I don't see Foley allowing that to happen.

Oh, I don't think us nutjobs on the internet have much of an influence on recruits or those inside the program. Under the circumstances, it's quite understandable that the villagers have become restless. And I get that there are too many coaching wish-list threads, but didn't you start another thread here regarding coaching?

Yeah A DISCUSSION, but a slew of threads with coaching names? I'm just posing an argument that maybe at the moment it's a bad idea. Maybe the insiders here know something I don't. Otherwise, it's too much.

I did create a thread the minute the game was over entitled "who do you want to go, who do you want here" as a preemptive effort to contain what was not contained.

This thread is not a coaching thread but I catch your point. Not usually a thread starter but I feel pretty strongly about this.

If they ban all the posters advocating a change, they will lose 90% of their page views. What are people going to talk about - how we are going to win Time of possession for the rest of the season. Where we are going to go for a bowl game NEXT year? Whether Jeff will be back for the O and B game?

We got blown out by Vandy at home for homecoming. Don't tell me you're surprised about all these posts.

^^^im not throwing disdain, let alone a desire for exiles, just saying a thought. And I am surprised that the forum who often does keep in mind the team first is allowing it at this point to the extent it is.

    Exactly.

The times are what they are.....discussing in a civil fashion coaching changes is ok as long as insults or disparaging the team, coaches or other posters are avoided.
