-Neron Ball struggles some against the run game especially fighting off blocks and getting to the football.

    -VH3 was again fantastic

    - Purifoy covered well besides on that one wheel route

    - Poole did some nice things at the nickle especially stopping the screen plays which has troubled this team in years past

    - Riggs has been really good at safety he might be playing better than in run support than Evans. I know people will harp on a few passes caught on him late in the game but that is when he was forced to move to nickle because of Poole's penalty

    - Cummings is going to be a good player for us.

    - Fowler Powell & Easley played great against maybe the best pass blocking Oline we will face all year

--Bullard not great rushing the passer but really good against the run

VH3 always looks like he's hyped up on 10 red bulls. The guy just zips around and makes plays.

Also, our pass rush is looking much better. The quarterback is really being pressured

after the early pressures did UT Oline make adjustments? Seemed they stoned our front 4 quite often but UT passers pretty bad so didnt really matter

Changed QB's the 2nd one was more decisive.

They did more mass protections and we blitz less because we were up and protecting a lead

This isn't to denigrate our defense one bit, but Nathan Peterman was as bad as any SEC quarterback I've ever seen play against us. That was someone who genuinely had no business being on the same field as our defense.

There was one third down throw late in the second quarter that left Verne and Gary agog because of its inaccuracy, but over-throwing the target by 10 feet was the only thing that saved Peterman from an interception by one of the three different Gator defenders bracketing his receiver.

Agreed. Our defense was supposed to do what they did. This is what they were up against.
