Can someone ask the person in charge of these boards to move the Payton Dastrup conversation over here.

Hmmm, this appears to be a really rare "Big Man" that weighs more than 190 lbs that Billy D shows interest in. Of course, I guess one could consider that Diastrup kid a "Big Man," after all, he is supposed to weigh 220 lbs in high school.
Abu begs to differ. Seriously I agree and one reason I wanted Abu is he was coming in with some bulk.
Yeah Insti - the thing is that although mismatches with fast, tall, athletic and mobile forwards is clearly Billy D's underlying philosophy, you really need someone with bulk in the paint. This year, Young and Yeguete both weigh in at about 240 lbs, which gives them adequate bulk to play power ball, although both lack adequate flexibility and shooting range to leave space in the lane for guys like Prather and Finney-Smith. But next year, unless Harris and/or Walker are on the team (both large question marks at this point), as of this time in the recruiting wars, there is not a single new player on the near horizon who weighs more than 190 lbs. To me, this is absolutely amazing give the fact that Billy D produces so many pro forwards, and so few pro shooting guards. Although, of course, like everything else, recruiting cycles though thin and thick periods.
