I remember reading on here last year that Alex Collins was the real deal, well, he's off to a good start at Arkansas. He's currently 6th in the FBS with 152 rushing YPG.

But but he's a freshman! He has trouble holding into the ball. He's not what we thought he was. The kid's a bust. There's a walk-on that should be higher than him on the depth chart because he knows the system better. He needs to earn playing time, which is somehow done by not playing.

I almost forgot- sure the kid's getting 152 yards per game, but can he block?

Who cares who they have played, the point is that if a freshman has talent, play him. I find it hard to believe Kelvin Taylor would not be a better back than Jones and Brown as we speak. Hard to trust any coaching decisions at this point on the offensive side of the ball.

can't trust em....ball security high and tight. Rules then should also apply to Jones, Burton and Driskel

Nobody on offense can hold onto the ball. So why not play Kelvin. It sure won't hurt.

Because I saw Taylor carry the ball against Toledo and he showed more wiggle and elusiveness in those carries than I have ever seen from Jones or Brown.

You saw him carry the ball against a worn down defense in garbage time and now he should be the starter? Did you see him block?

On the title subject even though Alex Collins is playing against bums I think the kid is the real deal. I thought he was the best back in Florida last year which is saying something. I have not watched his games this season. I would guess he is the number 2 RB on Arky behind Williams

Considering the play of our QB, and our propensity to run, I would say have the best runner in the backfield is more important than the best blocker more times than not.

Thank god you are not the coach then because no sane person want to see our back up QB's in the game

Ok, Jones and Brown do such a great job blocking that our passing game is awesome. I would rather run the i set with fullback and Taylor and see what happens. That 2yds and a cloud of dust against Miami makes that point clear.
