If they haven't banned signs in the stadium they probably should... Immediately...
I wonder how many students want to leave this blowout but are now stuck there like prisoners for another quarter. Can't believe the university president is on board with this.
I like what Saban did! The fans should hang in to the bitter end....whether we win or lose! I still remember sitting through a 3-3 tie against LSU in The Swamp back in 1972.....The rain was coming down sideways! The field was flooded out to the hash marks because someone forgot to open the drains during the first half. Nat Moore was our offense! We threw away everything we wore after that game since it was totally ruined!
This doesn't follow UFPD rules, that a student can only be harassed if they are doing nothing wrong.
I actually feel sorry for the guy. He is totally incapable of lightening up for one minute to enjoy the enormity of what he has accomplished the last four or five years. Yelling at everybody up 40 late in the fourth quarter like he's down 40. He's running scared. Scared that if he lets up for one second, everything will fall apart.
Being late, missing a game or leaving early should cost you your season tickets. Missing the halftime show should be a financial penalty. Wearing less than stellar team gear should be a fine as well.
Should do that at UF too no doubt
The students paid for tickets. They are not prisoners.
I wonder how many people who cry for the govt to stay out of their lives are ok with this?
I heard a story where apparently he was worried that having to spend so much time practicing for the championship game last year which was played well into January was costing him too much recruiting time and he was concerned his rivals were getting an edge.
Lol I love it good for Saban
He can enjoy that crap when he retires.
Fraternities and such get blocks of seats and that reduces the number of tickets available to everyone else. Saban is basically addressing those groups. If you are purchasing a regular ticket, you can come and go as you please. Lincoln freed the slaves.
Block seating is the issue, not the right to buy a ticket and enjoy the game and leave early if you choose. Block seating is reserved for student organizations who are willing to stay the entire game.
I've never heard of this. What, do they sign a contract promising not to leave before :00?
maybe armed uf police can block exits and prevent fans from leaving early, using physical force if required, including tasers.
Those od us living in Bama know his comments were not only about block seating.
How about Nikkie come watch me take care of my cancer ridden sister in law until she passed away and then raise my 3 kids and my 4 orphaned nieces and nephew living with us who were raised in a violent and abusive drug subculture and dont know how to function in normal society yet, handle a high pressure intense job environment requiring at least 60 hours a week and take care of my acres of property and not leave early from a football game blowout against somebody state tech on a Saturday afternoon after paying for a ticket and spending his money in my town. If you want to complain because I have to leave a football game before the clock hits zero then f u.
Do you have ANY idea how student tickets work? At Alabama or Florida?
Actually that is exactly what the grouped did. And theirfailure to honor their word and commitment is why they lost their block for the game.
Honestly do not understand why anyone would have a problem with what happened. Unless you believe people should be not be subjected to consequences for failing to live up to their commitments.
Nick will order block seating removed for all fraternities and sororities---he's not going to put up with this.
Block seating is a blessing for both sides. Let them sit together so other people can watch the game without dealing with college frat boy stuff.
