They are social events. Just not the frat douche nozzles social events who are only there for themselves and don't really care about the game or the team.

The program is issuing the tickets they can make whatever stipulations they want or the dirt bags can go to a club instead if they don't like it. Give the tickets to individuals who actually care about the team not to people who take them as granted because they are in a special group.

Thanks, I couldn't remember the exact amount . Weren't they over a $100 a couple of years ago? Maybe that was what my older daughter paid for her student tickets.

I think this is ridiculous. It is not like they didn't show up, they decided to leave in a blowout. I think Saban is way out of line talking about the fans. The fans and alumni going to games in droves and spending millions on merchandise are the reasons he is the highest paid head coach in the country.I think it makes Saban and Bama look very petty.

Hmm . . . one daughter is paying $115 for $90 tickets. Another one was paying $100 when the tickets were around $70. I think your daughters might be enterprising young ladies.

Doubt it. Saban is the only coach with the required equity to pull off something like this. Muschamp would be tarred and feather if, after putting such a boring and putrid form of offense on the field, would start complaining about the fans.

I'm a junior so I've only been here a few years. We only have 6 home games this year, so that might be why it's cheaper (?) In that case, you're probably right, it was more expensive a few years ago

Saban is taking up for those that want to go to the games but can't because the seats are already "sold".

When I was at UF they changed the basketball policy from general admission (first come, first served) to block seating. It was like they let the air out of the O'Dome. When the frats and other groups took over the lower sections, the home court advantage dropped. I wish UF never went to block seating for basketball. Not sure if it's still that way.

For football, I'm fine with block seating since the stadium is so big. So some students leave in a blowout...big deal. They'll stay when it counts.

The students I can understand but the taking shots at fans who have payed full for a ticket should be able to leave when they choose in my opinion.

It's kinda funny though how winning so much has almost turned off Bama fans in a way. Don't get me wrong winning is never a bad thing but when all you do is blowout after blowout I can see why some would want to leave early

That being said any team would take that in a heart beat

Ha, they are enterprising but it goes on my credit card  Just texted daughter number one and she thinks the tickets were 110. her senior year (2011) That's probably where I got the "over a hundred" amount. Regardless, makes the 15.00 I paid in the '70s a veritable bargain.

They could create a new policy for UFPD to enforce. Students leaving early could then be Ty-wrapped to stop signs and tazed at will if they offer slightest resistance.

There's something tacky about people who get paid to show up criticizing those who don't get paid to show up. No problem with fans criticizing fans or even poking fun at them, but that's not really any of the coach's business. If he doesn't like the crowd, he should take it up with his employer, not with the media.

With our offensive woes it sounds like many fans are even leaving their TV sets early.
