Casey Prather re-established himself as MVG in a surprisingly challenging 78-69 home victory against the Alabama Crimson Tide. Casey scored 15 points, had a team leading 6 rebounds with 3 assists and 0 turnovers for a value score of 82. Scottie Wilbekin led the Gators in scoring with 16 points, with 4 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 turnovers for 70 value credits. Just behind Scottie was senior Will Yeguete with 12 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals for 68 value credits. Also of note was Dorian Finney-Smith's team leading 5 assists which helped open up the game against a troublesome 2-3 zone defense played by the Tide. Team Stats: This was not one of the Gator's better defensive games as they allowed Alabama 69 points on 55% shooting from the field and 3-point line. Some of those points were set up by offensive turnovers which led to fast-break points on the other end. When the offense wasn't turning the ball over, they shot an excellent 62% from the field with a respectable 22/13 assist-to-turnover ratio. In the end it was another solid SEC victory extending the Gator home win steak to 29 games.
