Most intelligent people understand the difference between legitimate criticism of policy and racist personal attacks.

How did they treat Rice? Which one you ask? It depends on if they are conservative or not. One gets called out because she lied about a video and the other gets mocked for her hair style and teeth. You figure it out.

Ben Carson would be awesome as Prez or VP.

The Dems keep saying that the GOP is just a bunch of Rich, Old, White Men and never present anyone new.

I look foward to Carson running for president. He presents a unique perspective I think some would at least like to hear. His character is such that it will be difficult for the radical opposition to silence him right off the bat. He may get a point or two in before the character assassination kicks in.

Wouldn't surprise me to see Romney as the nominee again and for him to pick Carson as a running mate.

Hope Carson runs. Hope Bachmann runs. Hope Allen West runs. Hope Ted Cruz runs. Hope all the extremists on the Republican side run. Get them out there, front and center.

Just like the last election cycle, these are the guys that hurt the republicans more than help.
When they start trotting out his comments comparing gays to nambla and gay marriage to beastiality, saying progressives could turn the us into Nazi Germany, implying that people who believe in evolution might not be as ethical as creationists, comparing Obamacare to slavery while having once said there shouldn't be for profit insurance companies....among other things, and that with very limited exposure. Not to mention his childhood issues where he beat up his mom and a belt buckle saved him from a murder charge, which I have mentioned before.
He is the next Newt Gingrich, he will self destruct, make his millions from the experience and leave the party looking worse than when he got there.
But run him, you will be happy and so will the dems I would bet, everyone wins.

Do you really have that massive of a blind spot that you have missed the extensive personal attacks on appearance towards Hillary Clinton, Nancy Pelosi, Michelle Obama, etc. that have come out of the right-wing?

BTW, most of the criticism of Condoleezza involved her "lying" to get us into Iraq, in much the same way you just claimed Susan "lied" by reporting incorrect intelligence but with far more severe consequences.

Would that be something like a fund raiser or is it closer to a quarter million dollar speech thing?

I know he's a doctor and all, but where exactly did Carson come from where all of a sudden he is seen as a potential candidate? I'm not disparaging him, but how did he rise to national prominence and become some sort of household name?

And Hillary didn't? Or Janet Reno? Or Janet Napalitano? Heck Dr Ablow was on Fox just last week telling michelle Obama to drop a few pounds.
Women get comments about their looks from all sides, it's a sad fact of life.

He blipped on the radar when he criticized Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast. Not the time or place, and no one had ever politicized the event as he did, but the Pubs really liked what they heard.

He's been on the speaking circuit for quite some time. I heard him 15 or so years ago and was impressed with him back then.

No, an attack calling a black man an "Uncle Tom" or "an oreo" is clearly an attack based on the color of his skin, not any kind of logical criticism of his ideas. It's something that might be said by a very small-minded person who cannot comprehend the ideas of his opponent, and therefore has to resort to a personal attack. It may also be used by a dimwit who thinks he should be able to decide what someone SHOULD think based on the color of his skin. Either way, racist.

I always figured you were smarter than that. Do you REALLY think that it is acceptable to go around labeling people "Uncle Tom" and "oreo"? Does that make you feel that you've won the argument? If so, I feel sorry for you and hope you get help soon.
