If Abdul is reading, Welcome to Hogtown! It isn't usually quite this hot and humid.

And winter is really nice, not like in the Northeast.

Looking like Abu or bust. Not looking good with Lyles (UK putting the heat on) or Looney (loves Duke). Come to UF Mr. Abu. We have lots and lots of playing time for you.

His blood is 100% Nigerian. I'm sure he'll be more comfortable in Gainesville than he was in New Hampshire or even Boston where he grew up.

All of our blood is African, Strange, and yet a bunch of these people thought that the northeast was a good place to settle. I would have set up my colony right on Key West or something, but Boston and New York it was.

Europeans actually have quite a bit of Neanderthal in their genes.

I believe the number being hypothesized is something like 1-2% of modern human DNA being derived from Neanderthals. Though Neanderthals also came from Africa. They just did it before modern humans did.

That certainly is bad news if true. Maybe we can get Larrier and bulk him up to a 4. Larrier has a tier 2 offer list, so that should help.

I agree. I was under the assumption that a higher percentage of modern human DNA was derived from Neanderthals.

DNA is over rated. Watson and Crick were largely incorrect regarding how much influence is actually has on manifestations. It has some influence but not nearly as much as they thought.

Epigenetics is the biggest factor in an individual's development.

The thing is that College Basketball is played indoors in climate controlled environments, whether in Alaska or Miami.

Trying to see how far off topic this can take us. Steven Pinker did a lot of work on the nature (DNA) vs nurture controversy. Read "The Blank Slate". His conclusion was that we are about 50% programmed.

Yeah I like this thread. Recent studies suggest about a 50% inheritance of intelligence, which I would think of as something with a high environmental component. Feeling warm during a New York winter? I don't think all the epigenetic modulation in the world is going to get you there.

And Egi is reclassifying to '14, right? As long as we get one of the two, we are in good shape. Either could contribute right away as a backup five, then compete at the four or five the following season.

Egi will reclassify from everything I've been told.
