It would be comical if not so sad.
Obviously not. At least you admit it now.
My claim is that it is irrefutable. I'm claiming that others can't disprove it. The Pubs are indeed the record setters.
Here's the Pubs track record (this is even dated by a year). The amount of filibustering conducted by other Senates isn't even close to the amount of filibustering conducted since BO took office. I'm sure y'all can at least agree with that.
As far as obstruction of economic growth initiatives go, I'm sure I would be able to count all of the filibusters by other Senates if I put the time into it, but I'm not going to bother wasting time on the obvious. Only people that are ignorant of today's politics would not accept my claim, unless they were being disingenuous. Therefore, no one will try to refute it.
So what if that is your claim? It still leaves you as citing nothing less meager than your own opinion as the authority that can't be refuted. So, here is me citing an equally irrefutable statement -- you're wrong. Uh oh!
Looks like it's time for you to disprove Michi's irrefutable statement, chomp. If not then it's true . . . . and you're wrong.
Moderate progressives aka liberals are known for thinking their way is the ONLY way
You can't be serious. :smoke:
And that's "irrefutable" proof that the "most of Americans" in what ever poll you think blame the TP for "near" default are idiots.
I'll type slow, we were never going to default on our debt! It is a scare tactic used over and over by Obama and the left. I thought you were smarter than that.
Where'd you go, chompy? Looks like you've quit reading Leatherman and started following Houdini -- you just disappeared.
I find it ironic that you slinked off from a thread you started titled "A Spine is a Useful Thing to Have."
Another useless hit job op-ed from the commies leftist blog-bolshevik site.
I think I've posted enough info on this thread to make my points.
I do not see any point you have made chompy
Being stuck in your bubble, as you are, you wouldn't.lain:
No, you really haven't made a point. Again, it's like playing chess with a pigeon.
Yes, citing your own opinion as the authority that renders a fact irrefutable.
You are being disingenuous if you don't agree that the Senate during Obama's terms have set the record for filibusters and that would include filibustering BO's economic growth initiatives.
I don't concede that so much as a single thing Obama has ever proposed would lead to economic growth of the sort we used to think of as growth (i.e. not the Obamanormative ~1%), first of all, but, no, I don't think we are into much unprecedented ground there, I think it can be framed that way in service of an agenda. Statistics, etc.
Much of the time, michi, you are way over the top. Unfortunately, that's the same problem that the vast majority of Congress has with the TP. But you're entitled to your opinion. smh
For unprecedented legislative failure, my mind first turns to the epochs without the Senate passing any sort of budget, and that we are (I believe) still waiting for an actual budget conference committee.
How about this for the next round of brinksmanship over the debt and funding? It happens as a result of a bona fide budget resolution for FY 2015 with CR up until it starts, that is voted on and passed in both houses, and signed by the President, or they can all go to hell. Sound like a plan?
