very interesting..but what's in it for us, besides a potential case of new audience exposure?

Everyone wants to get in on the SEC.

But I actually like the idea of putting some of these kick-off games in more northern cities. Not that Nashville is exactly northern, but with the milder northern weather in August, it might be good time to bring major college football games to stadiums in Foxboro, Philly, DC, Pittsburgh, Cleveland, Minneapolis, Seattle, Chicago, etc. It would make a whole lot more sense than some of the cold weather city bowl games.

Well if we did it, it wouldn't be every year, so I think it'd be good for football and the SEC. Not to mention it'd shut people up about us leaving the state of Florida for OOC.

Well I just re-read the thread title and saw it said 2016, so I guess the Tenn-UAB match will kind of test the waters for 2016.

The season-opening contest would match an SEC team against “a high-quality team from another conference” at LP Field, the home of the NFL’s Tennessee Titans. I wouldn't consider UAB a high-quality team from another conference.

Ahhh... the Gators can play in the Snowbird Circuit Kickoff Classic, in honor of our temporary friends from northern climes.

Put Toronto and Montreal on the list, too. And run specials on orange tanning gel. :D
