Samantha Scales, former Gator Director of Baseball Operations, has married and moved to Nashville with her husband. Buddy Monroe's moved from Sully's staff to take over her role.

Hudson Randall is back and in graduate school. He's joined Sully's staff as a G.A. assistant coach.

Peter Alonso & Richie Martin were named Summer All-Americans by Perfect Game.

Santa Fe (and all the other state schools that we used to call Jr. Colleges) are allowed 24 baseball scholarships. Wish they'd do that at the D-1 level.

Yeah, the JUCO number went up this year. Not all of them are offering the full complement yet though. Crazy how much they can offer vs D1....and D2 is even worse.

Randall was a 7th round pick. He had a bad 2013, but I'm surprised to see him out of pro ball so soon.

No JUCO football in FL. Complying with Title IX is easier.

I had the same thought. I understand that lowly drafted soft-tossing righties don't get many opportunities, but that's fast.

Of course, it's possible that was as much Hudson's decision as his organization's. Maybe he just hates the minor league experience; it's apparently pretty miserable when you're not playing ball.

Randall could hit 91. Maddux was no different.

I am surprised as well given he seemed to have a very high baseball IQ.

I would not describe him as soft tossing. He had plenty of stuff.with that being said maybe he is going to rehab and give it another shot
