It's time for us to remind the members, once more, that personal insults are still against the rules. This has not changed and we have seen an increase in these kind of posts over the last few weeks. Keep in mind that this can result in warnings, infractions, or even being barred from the forum for a period of time. While the rules for insulting groups or certain people such as politicians were lessened this does not extend to those of a personal nature.

In other words you may say group x are retards or politician x is an ass but you can't say member x is one.

Calling out other members in threads or posts is also still against the rules. Doesn't mean you can't question them or respond to their post but you can't make insulting comments in posts which refer to them.

The other thing we need to touch on here is the use of certain curse words. Several four letter words are OK but the eff word, even with symbols in the place of letter is not permissible. We might overlook "eff" but not the word with a f as the first letter followed by symbols. We also don't allow a word such as mother used with the preceding word I wrote about nor do we allow God's name to be taken in vain. This is highly offensive to many of our posters and it is not needed to make a point.

Please keep this in mind and

    Happy posting!!

The next member who tells another member to "take off the kneepads" or anything along those lines is going to get three days off from the site no questions asked. I am tired of cleaning up crappy statements like these which are a direct violation of board policies. So if you post it and I see it don't complain because you have been forewarned.

The above banned words also include the P and the C words that refer to women or their body parts. Any other word that would be outside of common things like damn or shit would also fall under that category. This has been board policy for a long time but I want to make sure it is in writing from here on out.

Some of this is our returning to the rules we had in place before the move which we had some confusion on.

    .................................................................................................................................................................

    Four paragraphs max
If the article has less than 8 then 3
if the article is 6-7 paragraphs 2
if the article is 3-5 paragraphs 1
Two sentences if the article is less than two paragraphs.

If the article is from a premium site (premium meaning registration required, free or paid) then just the headline of the article, the poster may, in his own words, talk about the article.

Link required on all situations above.

    TH only-
Chain emails may be posted if they have a web link OR are proven as some truth or more on a verification site like Snopes or TruthorFiction.com Link to verification must be provided. If there is a web link they do not have to do the verification.

All quoted material from linked sites must either be set in quotes or in quote tags. The last being the preferable way to do it. This is very easy to do. Just click on the two quote marks at the top of the reply box and when the quote tags show up in the writing area paste your material between them. The software does the rest.

This is effective immediately so please follow these rules when posting. If members just refuse to do so we will start by deleting threads and if necessary take further action if that doesn't work.

However we don't expect it to come to that and we do understand there is a transition phase so we will be using in-thread prompts to refer posters back to here.

    Thanks!
